Sorry!

Jumpsuit: Warehouse
Shoes: Faith at Debenhams

Hi Guys, I'm so sorry I haven't posted anything for over a week, I have had no internet, I know a blogger's worst nightmare.

As you can see there has been a change, I decided to take my weave out, it was time to change my hair but didn't know what to do with it, so just decided to have my own hair out for a while, I haven't had my own hair out for a really really....really long while, which is bad I know. It's nice having my own hair out, it's a relief that I don't constantly have to check that my tracks are showing or holding down my weave every time there is a gust of wind. (By the way I did my hair in cornrows overnight to look like that)

And another piece of information, the winner of my give-away, which should have been announced yesterday, but like I said no Internet.
I used the True Random Number Generator to find the winner.
Soooo...
the winner is Mo.
I'll e-mail you as soon as possible to get your details.
Congratulations.

DIY Sheer Maxi Skirt

Photobucket

I made these two maxi skirts yesterday.
I can't believe Topshop are charging £40 for a sheer maxi skirt, when you can make it yourself for £10 or even less.
That's why I hardly ever go into Topshop, great clothes, but way overpriced.

I wanted a sheer leopard print maxi skirt, like one I'd seen Gillian Zinser wear and the red one was the only decent leopard print I could find, to be honest I didn't look very hard. I think I'm going to make a few more like an off white/cream and a nude pink one.

It was pretty easy making them, I did the black one first, but changed a few things with the second one like neatening up the seams, so it won't fray. I think the skirts need to be a bit longer, I just felt they looked a bit short once I put my wedges on.

I'm rubbish at instructions so here's the blog where you can see how to make a maxi skirt, she did hers by hand which you can do, or with a machine which makes the process so much faster.

Bag Essentials

Photobucket

Decided to do a post on Bag Essentials, well what I think you need in a bag.
This is a lengthy post, but keep reading, gets good to the end.

1. Make-up Bag- I take my make-up bag with me wherever I go, and is necessary if your going to be out all day, for touch ups. Putting all your make-up in a bag, stops your bag getting make-up stains.

2. Compact Mirror- A mirror goes alongside your make-up bag, so you can check up on your make-up and to see that  you haven't got eyeliner spread across your cheeks.

3. Shine Control Paper- If you can't be bothered to cake on more powder, blotting paper is quite good, to get rid of that mirror like shine on your forehead and nose.

4. Hairbrush- A hairbrush is ESSENTIAL especially when you have a weave or a "bad" weave to keep your hair from looking a tangly mess, the scarecrow look ain't pretty.

5. Hand-cream- I have such dry hands, so I always have to have some cream with me, especially after I've washed my hands.

6. Anti-bacteria Hand gel- Moving on from washing hands, if that's not possible for you when your out and about, a hand sanitiser is necessary, especially if you decide to eat.

7. Nail Polish Remover Pads- Nail polish never lasts long on me and I don't actually realise how bad they look until I have left the house.

8. Lip Balm- You need to moisturise your lips, especially if your going to wear some lipstick, there's nothing worse than seeing lipstick ontop of cracked up lips.

9. Tissues- I think I have health issues, I have a runny nose all year round. I feel lost without my tissues, because I don't really like to sniff. I laugh a lot, laughing and a runny nose don't mix. Tissues are also really helpful if you've spilled something or need to clean something.

10. Stain Remover Wipes- This one isn't really essential, but thought I add it in. It's quite useful if you have a little accident whilst out eating or sit somewhere where you shouldn't have.

Other essentials:

Mobile Phone- Sometimes I wonder what people ever did before mobile phones, I feel like I don't exist when I don't have my phone, because I can't get in touch with anyone. It's not just a phone, it's a clock, it's a planner, and it's a notepad....ermm moving on.

Purse- You need your purse wherever you are, in case of any emergencies, I don't like borrowing money off people.

Bodyspray- You don't want to be smelling funky, especially if you have to lift up your arm in the bus/tube.

--------------------------------------------------------
As promised, I said I would hold a give-away once I reached 500.
Whoever wins this give-away will win all the bag essential pictured in this post, including the bag, scarf, and this smoky effect eyeshadow duo from this post.
I couldn't spend much, but really wanted to to do a give-away and thank you all for following and for your lovely comments. I might decide to put in some more later.

To have a chance of winning this give-away:
1. You have to be a follower through Goggle Friend Connect.
2. Leave a comment stating what your bag essentials are and your e-mail address.

Messy Ponytail

Photobucket

Photobucket
Jumper: H&M

I was watching The Persianbabe's (Barbara) video tutorial on an Alexander Wang inspired ponytail, and thought I would try it out myself.
There was a video where she had the same hairstyle, but the ponytail was in this beautiful wave, I thought it looked amazing, because it was edgy and glamorous at the same time.
The ponytail was all in one wave, so I'm going to have to figure out how to achieve the wave.

Check this video out for the messy ponytail tutorial.

Outfit and E.L.F

Sorry for the absence, I've just been so lazy and enjoying my uni free life (even though I've been uni free for nearly a month) and also doing posts for the Gidilounge Fashion section.

Everything I'm wearing are from random shops.
By the way, that's wind in the hair, that's why my hair looks like that.

Made my first E.L.F order on Tuesday and it arrived today, was impressed with that considering that the last online order I made (MAC Face&Body) took 2 weeks to get to me.
I got slightly over happy with the bronze stick on the far left, hence why my face looks shiny and the F&B is a very dewy foundation.
