Here are some pictures from the photo-shoot of our outfits or our Final Major Project.

Not so happy with the photographers work, I think he was more concerned about getting that one perfect shot than giving us variety so most of my pictures look like this. 

Me and my friend were planning to do another photo-shoot once all our garments where done anyway.

I might have said this before, but I'll just say it again. For our FMP we had to pick a retailer, design a range and make 2-3 outfits. My chosen retailer was REISS for A/W 2012/13, I wanted to create a range that would be suitable for the everyday woman whether she's going to work, picking the children up from school or going for drinks with the girls. With the designs consisting of a minimalist and androgynous look that could be worn with both heels and flats, but keeping the designs in line with the REISS aesthetic and target customer.

I'm in the process of making a pair of trousers, and I still need to make a jacket and shirt. I was hoping to make a third outfit, but we're not that experienced in making or shall I say I'm not experienced in making, so it takes longer, especially little things like zips. So, hopefully I will have time to make a third outfit or maybe I will just add 2 garments that can be used for wardrobe building purposes.

This jacket so needs a pocket, but I've already attached the lining,and the trousers could be a little skinnier too, oh well.

Sorry for the lack of posts over the past few weeks, I'm in my final year at uni so I've been doing long days at uni trying, to get my all work done, and by the time I come home I'm too tired to get my vogue on in front of the camera.
I've currently been working on my Final Major Project and I had to finish one outfit off for my photoshoot that I had today, for our end of year brochure. You can see a quick snapshot I took while my model was doing her thing. 
She's stunning, major girl crush.




Talking of end of year brochure, I might do a blog sale, with some of the money going towards the production of the brochure, but I'm so busy at the moment, so I'm not sure if it is going to happen. I will still do one at a later date, because there are some things I just don't wear anymore.

Style Compare Style Challenge

The Style Compare Style Challenge is a new project just launched on Style Compare's blog Style Platform.

It's a monthly style challenge, were bloggers will be selected and given an on trend item to style, and I was asked to take to part.

For their first installment, they focused on the pastel trend and gave the selected bloggers a pair of pastel jeans to   style to their personal style.

I was given a pair of apricot/peach pastel jeans, I decided to keep it simple and minimal, which I think it's more me. I added a white blazer which I thought would go well with a blazer and scrunched up the sleeves to give it more of a casual and boyish feel. To that I added a white and neon top, neon is also a trending colour, as well as teaming neon with neutral colours. To finish it all off I added some minimalistic silver cuffs and a pair of nude heels to tie in together with all the colours and the pointy toe adds a level of "chicness".
